Wylie Warren-Boulton

Snare Drummer

Wylie began music early as a piano student. When her parents discovered the Chicago Academy of Piping and Drumming in 2010, she started drumming lessons and quickly became the youth band’s bass drummer. She served in that role for four seasons until the piping and snare numbers of the group became too small to continue competing in Grade 5. Wylie took this as an opportunity to begin learning snare drum in early 2013 and made her debut as a solo competitor in the summer of 2015. She went on to play snare with the rebuilt CAPD band in Grade 4 for the 2016 season then transitioned with the reorganization of the group into the Grade 3┬áCity of Chicago Pipe Band where she remains a reliable and dedicated member of the corps ever since. Wylie loves Latin and is president of the Latin Team at Whitney M. Young Magnet High School. Her other interests include gaming and science.
