Piper
Killian has been piping since 2016 when he started learning from members of the Grand Rapids & District Pipe Band out of West Michigan. Using past musical experience, he was able to move quickly from the practice chanter to the full pipes. He started gigging with the band every chance he could. Killian then began taking on solo competitions, eventually winning the 2021 Champion Supreme award in Grade 4 light music from the Midwest Pipe Band Association. After a season competing with the Detroit Highlanders Pipe Band, he joined the City of Chicago Pipe Band in 2022 and has enjoyed learning from his experience with the group. Killian lives and works in West Michigan where he continues to perform locally with Grand Rapids & District and also plays guitar in a metal band.
