Bass Drummer
Mike Keppel came late to the pipe band world, while driving his piper son to pipe band practices. Since then, he has played bass for a number of Chicago area pipe bands, including Tunes of Glory, Glenshinnoch, Chicago Academy of Piping and Drumming, and now City of Chicago Pipe Band. When he is not playing with the band, he is busy raising the next generation of pipers and drummers with a bagpiping son and two tenor drumming daughters who have played with the band and a son learning snare drum.
